Class IX B Assembly

Compassion

On 2 August 2017 students of class IX B presented their class assembly. They portrayed the importance of being humane in life. 'Be the reason someone smiles, be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness of people' - this thought was the theme of the class assembly. The programme started with a question “Have you ever helped anyone?"

First they enacted a play about how we need to be content with whatever we have in life. It also depicted how we should do something for others and be respectful towards them. It made us realize how blessed we are to be born healthy with wonderful parents and teachers to guide us. Through the message 'be happy with what you have in life' the play provides food for thought for the young learners' minds. A foot tapping dance was also put up as a part of the skit.

Students spoke about the great humanitarians like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela and Swami Vivekananda. The class teacher urged the student community to be humble, kind and heal the world. Students sang the melodious song "Heal the world.....make it a better place to live in". A few students spoke about the virtues of life such as humility, love, respect, peace, compassion and service to humanity.

The students on this day put their theme into action by helping the support staff in different areas of their work.

The programme concluded with expressing their gratitude towards all who helped to make their assembly a truly learning experience.
