Teacher’s Day Celebrations

On 31 August 2017, NPSI Mysore celebrated Teachers Day with immense pride. A day filled with events and games was planned by senior students of the school.

The programme started with the School Prefect, Gaurav Achaiah welcoming the teachers. This was followed by the school band who played some foot tapping, enthralling songs. Prithvi Y R and Chirag Srisrimal spoke about the importance of Teachers Day and Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan whose birthday is celebrated as Teachers Day. Students of class XI and XII danced gracefully for their teachers. A short movie made by students was played which was followed by Class XII walking the ramp. Students were in their bright ethnic attire which was delightful to the eyes of the audience.

After these events, the Prinicipal, Ms Shubha Achaiah, addressed the gathering stressing upon the importance of this profession which helps create professionals in all other fields. She thanked all the teachers for their tireless efforts each and every day. She praised the students on their excellent performance and said that it is heartening to see them grow and blossom in NPSI environment.

In the afternoon, there were games planned for the teachers by the students of class XII. Teachers were organized into several groups and were made to play dumbcharades, minefield, taboo, pictionary and treasure hunt. For teachers, it was a day with a perfect blend of fun and frolic and love and affection from the students.
